What are Florida’s 3 Types of Driver Improvement Courses?

Every state has its own laws about driving, and Florida is no different. In many cases, points are assessed for certain behaviors. For instance, a moving violation or speeding 15 miles per hour (or less) over the posted speed limit will get you three points on your license. Florida will suspend your license if you get 12 points in the space of 12 months, 18 in 18 months, or 24 in 36 months. One way to get around this is to take a driver improvement course.

In some cases, drivers will have the option to complete a driver improvement course to eliminate any reports they would have received from their citations. Now, this only works in certain cases.
