What it DOES have is much cooler than that.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-23197\" src=\"https:\/\/www.idrivesafely.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/enchanted-highway-1.png\" alt=\"enchanted-highway-1\" width=\"977\" height=\"652\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.idrivesafely.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/enchanted-highway-1.png 977w, https:\/\/www.idrivesafely.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/enchanted-highway-1-300x200.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 977px) 100vw, 977px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Looming high over a 32-mile stretch of county highway in southwestern North Dakota are 10 giant metal sculptures that have since caused the road to be called The Enchanted Highway. Starting in 1989 in the town of Regency, a local artist named Gary Greff began making gigantic tin sculptures along the side of the Regency-Gladstone road, in an effort to help rehabilitate the town and bring more tourism to the region.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-23198\" src=\"https:\/\/www.idrivesafely.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/enchanted-highway-2.png\" alt=\"enchanted-highway-2\" width=\"939\" height=\"627\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.idrivesafely.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/enchanted-highway-2.png 939w, https:\/\/www.idrivesafely.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/enchanted-highway-2-300x200.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 939px) 100vw, 939px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>With sculpture titles such as \u201cFisherman\u2019s Dream,\u201d \u201cThe Tin Family,\u201d and \u201cGrasshoppers in the Field,\u201d travels can expect a wide array of visual treats on their journey. \u201cGeese in Flight\u201d even won a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records as the\u00a0<a title=\"Real ND\" href=\"http:\/\/www.realnd.com\/enchantedhighwayindex.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">largest scrap metal structure<\/a>! And now, you can even stay at the\u00a0Enchanted Castle\u00a0once you reach the end of your sculptural journey.
