Factoid
You could be wasting time and money if you are not checking the automobile recalls and technical service bulletins. You could also be missing out on important safety information. The 2006 Audi A3 has a recall notice for "Air Bags Side / Window" and the 2006 Honda Accord has a recall notice for "Exterior Lighting." If your car has a recall notice, you could be eligible for free repairs. Weekly recalls are reported on edmunds.com
Maintenance Tip
Do yourself a favor and save some room in your trunk for the following items. They could turn a potential trip-wrecker into nothing more than an unexpected pit stop:
  • Screwdrivers and wrenches
  • Jumper cables
  • A jack and tire iron
  • A can of "Fix-a-Flat"
  • Water for both the radiator and yourself
  • Emergency flares and reflectors
  • Gloves
  • Blanket and towel
  • Flashlight
