2. I'm not sure if I'm eligible to take this course. How do I find out?

States have different regulatory agencies that approve the course. These regulatory agencies have different rules on how often you can take driving education courses and the purpose of the courses can vary from state to state or court to court (insurance reduction, point reduction, etc.). When you register for this course, this site will tell you whether the course is approved in your state or court. However, you should ALWAYS verify with your state or court before completing a driving safety course. Just be sure to take care of it BEFORE your assigned court date or due date.

3. How long will it take me to complete this course?

Though course lengths vary from state to state, typical courses are usually 4-6 hours in length. You can start and stop the course as much as you would like to.

top

4. Is there a time limit to complete this course?

You must complete the course within 180 days of registration. 5. How do you select the questions that I will be asked on a quiz?

Quiz questions are pulled randomly from a pool of questions developed for your specific course. Two people may get different questions because they are randomly selected. It's the luck of the draw!

top

6. How long is the final exam?

The length of the final exam may vary and is determined by the state and county that issued your violation. The typical final is 25 questions, but could be longer depending on your state's requirements.

top

7. What will happen if I fail the final exam?

Depending on your state or court's regulations, you may have the opportunity to retake the final exam if you fail. The regulatory agency in your state mandates how many attempts you will have to take the final exam.

8. What should I do if I think I have spotted an error in the material?

At the bottom of each page, there is a button you can click that will e-mail your comments to the content team for review and verification. We appreciate your input!

top

9. Do I need to leave a comment on every page?

Not at all! We have a button on every page because it is easier to associate a specific comment with a particular page and find the material in the question. All "leave a comment" buttons are completely optional.

10. Are the statistics you quote outdated?

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) generally release traffic statistics 1-2 years after they are collected. We update the course material regularly to reflect the latest available statistics, which are not always from the year immediately prior.

12. How to clear your cache?

In order to speed up web browsing, web browsers are designed to download web pages and store them locally on your computer's hard drive in an area called "cache". The cache contains a kind of travel record of the items you have seen, heard, or downloaded from the Web, including images, sounds, Web pages, even cookies. Typically these items are stored in the Temporary Internet Files folder. When you visit the same page for a second time, the browser speeds up display time by loading the page locally from cache instead of downloading everything again. This sometimes results in less than current versions of web pages being displayed. When the cache fills up, performance can slow down and your hard drive may run out of space. You should periodically clear the cache to allow your browser to function more efficiently. If you believe that you have a less than current version of a page, please see the following steps listed below to clear the cache in your browser.

13. Is your website secure?

Yes. An encrypted SSL connection requires all information sent between a client and a server to be encrypted by the sending software and decrypted by the receiving software, thus providing a high degree of confidentiality. Confidentiality is important for both parties to any private transaction. In addition, all data sent over an encrypted SSL connection is protected with a mechanism for detecting tampering--that is, for automatically determining whether the data has been altered in transit.
