What should you expect?

The California Traffic School course contains text and animations aimed at helping you become a better driver in a way that's interesting and interactive. You'll learn traditional driving safety information, but also California-specific rules and regulations like state speed limits and DUI laws. The course will take you about 8 hours to complete and contains 12 chapters, each outlining a different aspect of driving safety:

At the end of each chapter, you will take a 10-question quiz. The quizzes are multiple-choice and based on material you've just read. Your answers are scored online instantly and if you get a question wrong, you'll have a chance to review the material and try again. You also must take and pass a final exam upon completion of the course. You must score 80 percent or higher on the final comprehensive exam before your Certificate of Completion will be processed or mailed to you. If you score lower than 80 percent, you will need to retake the final exam.

NOTE: This course is approved for ticket dismissal and insurance reduction in California. If you are using this course for ticket dismissal, you can only take this course once every 18 months.
